If you have been following the blog "Exhuberance is Beauty!" you will know about deceased French artist Serge Arnoux and the story of how a number of his copper plate engravings were saved from an almost certain melt down in the furnace. In addition to the twenty-six engravings based on the "Proverbs of Hell" by William Blake, there were another six plates with an unknown intent or purpose.
It turned out that five of these plates are held as prints as part of the permanent collection of the Pierre Daura Archive at the Georgia Museum of Art USA. I have the copper plates for these prints plus what might have been an additional one in the series. Hugh Mcmillan who I am collaborating with on the series "Blash o God" has written a new poem based on three of these found engravings. The film has a short text introduction explaining the background and premis.
